Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 October 2026. The short version: your media files are processed in your browser and are never uploaded.

Your media files

MediaFuse does not upload, transmit, store or copy the files you select. The conversion runs entirely inside your browser tab using JavaScript and WebAssembly. When you close the tab, the file and the result are gone from memory. There is no server-side component that could receive them, and no logging of file names, durations or contents.

What we do collect

Standard web server logs may record the pages you request, your IP address, your browser's user agent and the time of the request. These are used to keep the site running and to understand aggregate traffic. They do not include your media files.

Cookies and advertising

The tools themselves do not require cookies. If advertising is displayed on this site, third-party vendors — including Google — may use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info.

Where required by law — for example in the EEA and the UK — a consent banner asks before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can decline.

Local storage

The site may store small preferences in your browser's local storage, such as the last output format you chose. This data stays on your device, is not sent anywhere, and can be cleared by emptying your browser's site data for this domain.

Analytics

Aggregate, privacy-friendly analytics may be used to count page views and see which tools are useful. No fingerprinting, no cross-site profiles, and never any file data.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because we do not store personal data beyond standard server logs, there is usually nothing to export or delete. If you are in the EEA or UK and want to exercise a right under the GDPR, write to the address on the contact page and we will respond within the statutory period.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it. Material changes will be noted on the home page for a reasonable period.
